Wm. W. Meyer and Sons, Inc. Achieves ISO 9001 Certification

Wm. M. Meyer & Sons, Inc. recently achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification recognizing that the company’s quality management system meets standards developed by the International Organization for Standardization of Geneva, Switzerland.

The ISO 9001 standard is understood internationally to represent a company’s commitment to a quality process.  The standard requires a company to have a quality management system based on the idea of building quality into everything the company does.  Individual companies determine how to implement the standard to meet their specific needs and the needs of their customers.  Certification is open to companies that can demonstrate compliance with the standard by passing a rigorous audit by an independent registrar.

Dedicated to producing quality products in an efficient and safe environment, Meyer’s passion for exceeding customer expectations is why the company has been in business for more than 70 years.  This official ISO recognition assures customers that they can continue to demand the highest quality, durability and continuous customer satisfaction.

Since 1946, Meyer has focused on developing a solid foundation with the best people, state-of-the-art equipment, and an excellent physical plant.  Developing a quality system based on the ISO 9001 standards was a logical next step for the company.

Libertyville based, Meyer Industrial Solutions Division produces premier system components for dry bulk material processing equipment, pneumatic conveying, and dust collectors.  Meyer’s Contractor Division manufactures a complete line of rugged insulation removal vacuums, insulation blowing machines, and air duct cleaning equipment.

Meyer Supports the Flores-Prieto Family Fund

Denver Fire Claims Insulator

During construction on a new five-story apartment building on March 7, approximately 50 workers were on site when a massive fire started. Witnesses reported hearing two loud explosions and soon flames shot 200 feet in the air and ash rained down for several blocks. Two workers did not make it out of the wood-framed building. One of the men was Roberto Flores-Prieto, 29, left behind his wife of more than nine years, Evette and two children, Isaac 7 and Mikaela 2 years old.

Meyer Donates Vantage-Vac

Soon after the tragedy, Kent Thornbery of Rocky Mountain Insulation Corp. reached out industry-wide and obtained donations for an ongoing auction on Facebook. All funds raised go directly to the Flores-Prieto family. Wm. Meyer & Sons didn’t hesitate when contacted by Thornbery, donating a Vantage-Vac Insulation Removal Vacuum with a retail value of more than $3,500.

Wm. W. Meyer & Sons Launches New Websites

Website_900-01

Libertyville, IL — After several months of hard and strenuous work, Wm. W. Meyer & Sons, Inc. launches three new websites. The websites have new features, easy navigation and are mobile friendly which makes them one of the most advanced websites when compared to other companies in our industry.

“We saw the need to provide our customers and visitors with a better online experience. Our old sites were limited and we were not able to respond to an inquiry or provide information as quickly as we would have liked. We decided the best course for the new websites was to create ones that grow and evolve over time as customers and visitors interact with them,” says Greg Buric, President of Wm. W. Meyer & Sons, Inc.

One of the many new features of the Industrial and Contractor websites is the Resources area which allows customers and visitors to access the information they need right away. Easy navigation through visual cues and images compliments the simplicity of the websites, which can be used in its entirety on a mobile device, setting it apart from other websites. “The essential part of the design was allowing our customers and visitors to get to the information they need while traveling, in the field or at home without limitations,” stated Ray Galuska, Vice President of Wm. W. Meyer & Sons, Inc.
