Job Summary

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce Machined components. Applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

• Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines
• Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines
• Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers
• Monitor the feeds and speeds of machines during the machining process
• Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition
• Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to produce quality products
• Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency
• Set up or conduct program edits (G&M Codes) as necessary on machine tools
• Diagnose machine tool malfunctions to determine need for adjustments or repairs
• Confer with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information
• Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools

Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Competencies:

• Post-secondary certificate in trade or vocation in manufacturing preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Mechanical aptitude and interest
• Familiarity with machine operation
• Ability to safely and effectively operate machinery controls
• Ability to follow instructions
• Time management to produce parts for scheduled operations
• Detail-oriented, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans
• Basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations
• Quality control – ensuring machined parts are to specifications with inspections
• Dependability and responsibility to fulfill obligations
• Initiative and willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges

Physical Demands:

• Performing physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
• Physically able to operate the machines (strength, stamina, dexterity, flexibility, coordination)
• Prolonged periods of standing and performing making repetitive motions
• Must be able to lift and move items no more than 50 lbs. pounds at times
• Onsite position. Hybrid or remote work is not available
• Visual acuity: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception
• Ability to focus to monitor machine operations, such as gauges, dials or other indicators

As our Regional Sales Manager, you will be part of our world-class manufacturing company, which has a 92-year history of making feeding, metering and conveying equipment needed in the powder bulk solids industry. You will contribute to the company’s profitability and market success by driving sales growth within the assigned territory and ensuring the sales strategy is aligned with the specific needs of that geographic region.

This role requires an experienced B2B sales professional with advanced knowledge of company products & services in the powder and bulk solids industry.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities include:

• Driving sales activities within the assigned territory
• Performing sales forecast, reviewing market analysis, and monitoring pricing objectives
• Building strong client relationships
• Collaborating with other departments to accomplish sales goals
• Traveling to clients for on-site analysis of needs and annual trade shows

Job Summary:

The Industrial Engineering Tech serves as the link between the engineers and production, translating product designs into efficient, repeatable manufacturing methods and processes. Working closely with the Machine Shop Manager, this role leads fixture and tooling design, CNC programming, and manufacturing process development, while supporting metal fabrication and machining operations. This role also investigates, establishes, and implements procedural requirements for equipment, tooling, and materials; and recommends alternatives to product designers as needed.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary liaison between the engineers and shop supervision, communicating to resolve production issues and align priorities.
• Work closely with the Machine Shop Manager on implementation of new processes, tooling, and CNC programs.
• Investigate and recommend design alternatives to improve manufacturability, cost, or production efficiency
• Program CNC equipment (mill and/or lathe) to support production requirements using Mastercam
• Apply SMED principles to reduce equipment changeover and setup time
• Select appropriate tooling, feeds, speeds, and fixturing for machining operations
• Participate in or lead Kaizen events to identify and eliminate waste
• Troubleshoot machining issues related to tolerances, surface finish, tool wear, and cycle time
• Apply hands-on machining operations knowledge to support setup, first-article inspection, and production runs
• Design fixtures and tooling to support machining, fabrication, and assembly operations using SolidWorks
• Coordinate fabrication or procurement of tooling with internal teams or outside vendors
• Provide engineering support for metal fabrication processes (cutting, forming, welding, sheet metal, etc.)
• Develop and refine fabrication methods and tooling to meet design and quality specifications
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring production issues

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting in a production or process engineering role
• 3+ years of proficiency in Mastercam and SolidWorks (other CAM-based software is acceptable)
• Experience with metal fabrication processes (cutting, forming, welding, sheet metal, or similar)
• Solid understanding of machining operations, tooling selection, and process parameters
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and blueprints
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies preferred
• Experience with multi-axis CNC equipment (4/5-axis) a plus
